Driving Hwy 31, it hits me like forgetting to turn off the oven. Urgent to know. I chant it so not to forget until I could write it down at the gas station and the second half again at the post office. Today’s poem is inspired by something someone said, about the idea of letting go, not to let go but fundamentally, the practice of how to let go.
I read this poem through, once it was typed and found comfort in its lack of comfort. It seems to be in one of those moments of being alone with the facts and realizing its up to you. I appreciate how it reads disconcerting but on closer inspection full of hope.
