seeing through the walls

We’ve been salvaging wood for days. Every wall paper peeled back reveals more beautiful old wood. Unfortunately much of it is brittle. It require some resizing to use but I am committed to giving this old house a place in my new tiny house. I met the grandson of the couple that lived in the house since 1934. He spent many holidays, weekends and summers in those rooms. It was special to learn some of the houses history. The grandson took one last walk through for memory’s sake. It made him feel better that the house would be repurposed. I was glad he could know that.
